I just purchased a 1983 300d and its a perfect car for me, I do all my own service and wanted to find a manual and can't seem to find one, I don't think Bentley Publishers makes one, I called the dealer to no avail and MB's website had some but none for my car.

Anyone know where to purchase one?

You can get similar information with much better diagrams, and easier searches, by subscribing to "ALLDATA". Subscription rates are $24.95/Year with subsequent rates being $15.00/Year.

I have been subscribing to "ALLDATA" for my '95 E300 Diesel, for the last 3 years and am very happy.

I've used alldata before and didn't find it too helpful for older foreign cars, thanks tho. I was looking for a place to buy a CD or paperback manual specificly for this car.

I own 1983 300tdt, that I will try to sell soon, since I bought newer model. The car is so simple, that in my 4 years of ownership I never needed any manual.
What problems do you have? Maybe we can resolve them here?

I purchased a manual on CD for my 1985 300D Turbo from the Brinsion Co. here in New Orleans. You can call them at 504-733-7326 and I am sure you could purchase it over the phone with a credit card. The one I purchased is the factury manual issued by Mercedes Benz in pdf format and I have no complaints with it and it covers all W123 Diesel models (1977 thru 1985). Herb
