All,

I am a proud owner of a brand new CLS 320 diesel in Budapest. I bought the same car last year in October and in six months it was stolen. I loved it so much I bought the exact same car. I even really like the modifications, with the new steering wheel and I hated the walnut trim so I got gloss laurel this time (much classier). The only option that I had on my 2008 CLS but not on my 2009 CLS is 18 inch alloys with the 275 35R 18 tyres. I stuck with the stock 17 inch ones that are 245 50R 17 because they look nice. The only issue that I have right now is that the ride is indeed much softer than before and the steering much easier as well. I''m just wondering if its just the tyres that make such a dramatic difference or if any of you know if Mercedes pumped up the power-steering on the CLS for 2009 as well as softened up the AIRMATIC DC comfort setting? I liked the slightly sportier ride last year so I''m considering paying for new 18 inch rims and tyres. Also this car came with Pirellis which was a disappointment as last year it came with some really nice Continentals. This may also add to the more ''mushy'' feel. Any help much appreciated.
