Yesterday on my way home from work I noticed that my fuel gauge was not working.  I got home, turned the car off, the on (hoping to reset something) and nothing.  This morning still not working!  Any help???

Thanks!

well you are lucky that the W203 have the on board computer where it tells you how far you can go and dont ned to look at the gas gauge. Find a local shop and have them look at it.

There was two common problems that cause this. The most obvious on any car is the fuel sender unit, it''s under the rear seat in your car. The other common problem is that after a battery change or jump start it could fry the SAM module that controls the fuel gauge.

Thanks for the help!  Actually the computer displayed showed "" miles to empty...ha!  With this car I''ve learned to give these "problems" a few days before rushing to the shop...sure enough, within 2 days, the gauge started working again (knock on wood!)
My husband wants me to get rid of this carit has been nothing but problemsso we''re going to go look at Camry''s this weekend (my last Camry is still going at 185k with little/no problems!)
