Im listing my 1985 Turbo Diesel Mercedes 300d for sale because I will be deploying for Iraq in the near future. I hate to sell it but I would hate even worse for it to sit around the whole time I am gone.
Strong runner,its my daily driver and I have taken it on a few high mileage trips(1000 or so round trip miles), AC and Heat works and blows strong, Cd player installed in place of stock radio
The GOOD:
-Paint (pajett red metallic, burgandy)
-Strong running motor (334,000 still going strong)
-MBtex interior (not leather but doesn''''t rip or fade as easily with age also easier to maintain) mb-tex java in color
-Sunroof still works
-Auto Trans
-Power windows and locks
-Carpet and seats in Great shape
-New tires will go on Friday
-Clean NC title in my name
The BAD:
-Someone decided to key my drivers door
-A couple small dings
-Very little rust on drivers door (bottom corner can only be seen from inside with door open)
-Front passenger side door handle broken (tab that holds it on finally gave out after 23 years)
-The tranny slips when going into drive and in between gears I have had it looked at and been told it is a vacuum leak somewhere in the tranny actuator lines (these older 123s and some other older mercedes have vacuum actuators for everything including door locks)
-Drivers window motor needs gears (you can hear the window trying to go up and down but it doesnt do anything) you can "push" it up and down by hand
-Drivers seat has spot were it is wearing down from getting in and out. also seat material needs to be reattached as it is coming undone at the bottom (doesnt affect functionality at all)
