I will answer myself since no one was able to give me an answer:
Open the ashtray.
There is a slider (with an arrow) on the right side that releases the ashtray, slide it to the right.
Take out the metal part of the ashtray.
remove the two screws that you see at the bottom.
pull out the assembly that housed the ashtray.
reach under the left hand side under the radio, there is a clip that retains the radio in, push it down.
pull the radio out - I think I pulled from the back.
