My 2003 (w208)  when I release the top,  the windows go down but the top will not go back. When this happened I tried to raise the auto rollover bars thinking I would raise then lower and they seem to be stuck at the highest point I have ever seen them. They will not come down. When I attempt to lower the windows drop and i get a quick chime....nothing else moves. All fuse are ok. I checked that the trunk is closed, the protective cover in the trunk is position to activate the switch (right side) unless defective??? Is there a way to reset or manually lower the roll over bar ( rear restraints)? Thanks for any help or advice.

Not too sure why your top will not go down, but it caould be beacuse your headrests need to be reset. I had to reset mine.

Press and hold the down button on the dash for at least 30 seconds, and this should reset yur headrests. hopefully by doing this your roof may magically work................

Good luck
