First of all, I want to apologize for being one of those newbs who comes in with a first post asking for help.  I tried several searches and came up with nothing.  I''ve searched two other forums and find lots of similar questions but no responses.
Car is a 2006 C230 Sedan (with the 2.5 liter 6 cyl)
The ambient air temp sensor came loose, and dragged on the ground till it came off and all I have is a bare wire.  I purchased parts from my dealer and they tell me its everything I need to repair it but I suspect I''m missing a plug.  They''ve given me a short (5 inch) wiring harness with a plug on each end.  One end plugs into the sensor itself and the other plugs into ??what??.  I have a bare wire hanging with no plug there so thats why I''m thinking something is missing.  Can I just splice in the wiring harness?  Also they gave me two small tubelike items that look like something to be solderd in but don''t know where those go.

Does anyone have an exploded view diagram of it or experience in repairing one?  It seems to be a common issue but I''m having trouble finding newer MB owners that like to work on their own car.
FYI- This isn''t a warranty issue. It was pulled off on a parking block or something.

Thanks in advance for any assistance

OK, got it fixed.  The two small things were wire splicers.  I cut off the other end of the plug and all is well.
