I searched the forums, but did not find anything on what I need specifically. I am a newb to my Mercedes I bought from my Dad. There are times where I think the old man got one over on me by unloading it on me. Anyhow, the front rotors are now warped badly after many trips in the mountains here in WA State in the past many months. So I was thinking about getting some slotted and drilled front rotors and better pads in hopes of being able to have cooler rotors during all of the downhill driving coming back from the mountains. The problem I have finding is that most places do not have one for a 1993 300d 2.5 Turbo. They have them for the 300E, but I have no idea if they are interchangeable. Any ideas or advice from the experts here on where one might find such a seemingly mythical beast like this rotor, is appreciated.

Thanks,
Kirk

They have mountains in Europe too, and the Mercedes is designed for agressive driving in them. The EOM brakes are fine for Washington. I suspect your ''93 model discs are simply worn out, at the end of the service life.
Save money in the long run, get genuine MB or OEM parts.

HI,

The rotors and calipers are different for the 90-93 300d.  I think you need to remove the caliper frame and and the rotor has some screws holding them in.  I also have a complete set of new rotors. front and rear that I dont need because I am scrapping my 93 300d.  Let me know.   Chris
