I just now registered for this forum, following many happy years of MB ownership. I have owned a 1087 190E 2.6, a 2001 CLK320 and, presently, a 2003 SL500. I like the SL quite a bit, lots of virtues, but there are a few odd peculiarities. One is an odd buzzy vibration when accelerating or decelerating through 2100 RPM. It occurs when the car is in gear driving, never at idle. It sounds as though it''s coming from the rear end area, so, I suspect diff issues. But, who knows? The dealer, who has been helpful with every issue I''ve had (rattly top the worse so far) says they would need to keep car and monitor the ''problem'' but I am not inclined to face a possible major component replacement. Anyone else with this vibration?
