So I''m looking for my first Diesel Mercedes (possible WVO using the greasecar system)

I''m going tomorrow to look at a 1400$ ''78 300D (non-turbo) – can someone tell me if there''s any warning signs for this model? I already know to check for blowback; but I was wondering if there was anything else that falls beyond the realm of common sense on these cars.

Why people would want to abuse these cars with an illegal fuel falls into that category.
