Hi everyone!

I have a small problem with my automatic transmission. It works perfectly except when I press the gas pedal to the bottom and release it instantly why driving at higher speeds. When i do this the transmission loses gear and goes to neutral until the car slows down a bit and then it gets back to gear. Is this a safety feature or is there something wrong with the transmission?
