hello guys and dolls.

i've just been given the above car with 115,000 miles.

question: how does the A/C activate? in other words, how does one turn it on?

i don't have an operational manual, but i'm searching for one.

thanks much.

Is it automatic or manual climate control (Pushbutton or knobs)?

it is a manual control.  i've learned that the belt was removed, so i'm having that installed. a diagram of the a/c pully system would be nice if anyone has it.

how to place the manual controls would also be beneficial.

thanks much.

Hello all.  I also have the manual system (thank you Forced Induction).  My 3 knob panel is shot, so I'm in the process of getting that replaced.  What I can't figure out is how it is supposed to operate anyway.  I think that the center knob controls the fan speed.  The left and right knobs are for temperature or direction of airflow?  I can't tell.  Also, what is the lever just above the knobs for?  Then to top it all off, there is a dial for temperature about 6 inches above the knobs on another panel.  Any info would help.
