Converting from auto to manual is possible and fairly easy but converting from manual to auto is not simple at all. Its not just the head unit but all the vacuum actuators, solenoids, wiring harness, vacuum harness, heater core, monovalve, etc. At that point you might as well just get everything between the firewall and dash cover. The knobs, cables and everything needed to rebuild the manual control system can be purchased through a dealer or MB's Classic center. http://www.mbusa.com/heritage/classic-center-california.do
