I have a 1994 SL500. Like a dummy, when I take my car to the courtesy car wash at my local Mercedes dealership I think about everything (like putting my top up) except turning off my radio so the antenna goes down. So far I have broken 4 antennas doing so. On my old 1976 450 SL it had a toggle switch for the antenna that had a manual up and down position as well as a auto position. Does anyone know if this type of switch can be installed in my 94 SL that has the factory Becker radio in it? When I am playing my CD changer my antenna is up and I would like to have the antenna down so this toggle switch would be nice to have so that I could put my antenna down.
