I have an S430 with standard halogen lights. Would like to upgrade to XENON lights. Can i take the XENON lights from S500 and install them on my S430? Is it plug and play? Any information anybody has out there please advise.
Thanks,

I have the same car and had the same question. I called the MB dealership and they said it cannot be done. I don't remember the reason they gave me, but it sounded reasonable at the time.
Too bad for both of us. If the $14,000 Mazda 3 comes w/ Xenon standard, the S430 should too, don't you think!!!
Otherwise I love the car, though.

What year are you guys's cars? The dealer in San Francisco does them for 92's and above at a cost of $2500.00 per side - perhaps a little cheaper!

Halogen bulbs headlamps can certainly be upgrade to Xenon.
dealers say "no, you can't do it, and $%^&*&^^& reason" because xenon headlamps are FACTORY OPTIONS.
If a dealers upgrade the headlamps for its customers, the dealer will have to take full resposibility of warranty issues.
So deales usually don't want to take the risk

a consideration must also be taken that the lamps are also monitored, and by modification... you might get the "check light" message from the instrument cluster.

As long as both cars are the same chassis style (year range) it is a bolt in conversion with minor wire mod. (plug pin reassignment)
