Tranny slipping

Hellp,

I have a 1991 300E with 230k miles. The car runs perfect.  Exept lately the tranny shifts late and some times downshifts onm me. If  I slide it into reverse then back into D, it usually normalizes after that. Them may slip again.

This only happens when its engines has run for a while.

Any tips or ideas?
