I guess it sucks, taxwise, to live in Vermont?

Actually, this list is quite interesting. Seven states have no state income tax: Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming. Yet, WY ranks 3rd on the list, AK ranks 8th, WA ranks 17th, NV ranks 28th, FL ranks 37th, TX ranks 49th and SD ranks 50th.

I'm gonna move to South Dakota. I don't think I'd like Texas. I spent some time in Austin and liked it, but I don't think it's representative of Texas in general. There are too many seniors living in Florida and English is becoming a second language there. People go there to grow older and die. It's not for me.

I think it would depend on what part of FL u move too. I'm 20 and wanna move there now. But then again i like it here in MD also so i think i would be happy in any East Coast state from MD south to FL. I have driven through most of the rest of the country except the West coast and i like the SouthEast the most.

i grew up in maine and would move back there in a heartbeat. would also live in vermont or new hampshire.

massachussettes was always known as massataxes when i was little. don't think i want to move there. although a small town there might be just the ticket.

west virginia isn't too bad tho.

I spent three years in New England living on an expense account. I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't live in Vermont, but the other states would be okay. They're all so small up there I could enjoy Vermont without paying their taxes.
