If socket #6 is wired to your diagnostic connector, then you can easily read diagnostic codes for ABS/ASR as explained here:  http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r129-sl-class/1266535-diagnostics-sl-pre-94-a.html?.  A '93-'95 V-12 or V-8 car is prone to deterioration of the engine wiring insulation, and this could be the cause of your problem.  Another would be that one or both of your throttle actuators are faulty.

See the post that I just put up.  Good luck.  There are several causes for this problem.  You can spend a lot of time and $$$$ going through the list. Even the dealers don't always get it right the first or second time.  It cost me $1400 to replace the deteriorating  engine harness but it solved the problem.  Thing is; that bad harness is going to fall apart and cause some issues sooner or later (ASR light and LHM being just one of the issues).
