The SRS light on my dash is occasionally flickering on during hard braking or flamboyant cornering.
Could this be a loose connection or is it likely to be more complicated?

Thanks for looking.

I have had the same thing happen during a tour of the wheat fields in western Canada. On some of the long straights, I found my SRS warning to flicker on. It may be my imagination but the light always went off when I moved the steering wheel slightly to either side. Since the trip, I haven't had the warning light go on at all.

contact ring on older version.

sometimes the carbon brush is worn out and cannot make a good contact on lower area. this could be the reason why it occurs during movement.

I have noticed that the light seems to come on after 2 seconds of acceleration and then go off shortly after lifting or braking - does this help anyone to help me?

Thanks

Are you talking about the SRS light, as in the air bag light? If so, and there is a loose connection, I would assume it is between the airbag itself and the wiring within the steering wheel. (Just remove the steering wheel cover to check.) This would explain why the problem went away when the steering wheel was moved from side to side.
