My local dealer said they were expecting a software update for the CLS in the late June timeframe. Does anyone know if that software update materialized and what it fixes specifically?

I'm still having trans issues (harsh shifting 1-2-3 and down) even after a valve body replacement and adaptations. Mechanic tells me it's not the clip in the cluth pack -- says if it was I'd know and need to have the car towed into dealership. Also suggested I drive in C mode...hmmm

Thanks,

have they found metal chippings on the oil pan?

you have to be aware that your transmission model got problem on seized bushing between torque converter and oil pump.

i just don't know how "harsh" it is.

I'll ask the Lead Tech about metal chippings.

Can you elaborate on the metal chippings and seized bushing?

Thanks!

OK YOUR CAR HAS A 722.9 TRANS IN IT. NOW IS YOU CAR SLIPPING THE 1-2 UPSHIFT AND WHEN DOWN SHIFTING IS IT BANGING THE 2-1 DOWN SHIFT IF SO THEN YOU HAVE A C CLIP POPED OUT ON B1 I HAVE DONE ABOUT 100 OF THESE C CLIP MODS I HAVE EVEN HAD THE C CLIP POP OUT AFTER I JUST DID THE MOD AT THAT POINT MERCEDES JUST HAD ME REPLACE THE WHOLE TRANS ASSEMBLY. MERCEDES CANT EVEN FIGURE OUT WHY THESE C CLIPS ARE POPING OUT. PERSONALLY I THINK IT BECAUSE THERE IS TO MUCH CLEARENCE IN THE CLUTCH PACK. HOW EVER KEEP BRINGING YOUR CAR TO THE DEALER AND COMPLAINING THEY WILL EVENTUALLY REPLACE IT.
