I bought a used factory slk cd changer for my 2001 320slk. When I hooked it up you can hear the changer trying to load but when you push the cd button on the radio it gives the message NO CD CHANGER. Does anyone know if the radio has to be reprogramed to add a cd changer and does anyone know how to do this?

you have to take it to the dealer to have it version coded before the radio will recognize it.
