When I turn the wheel to the left there’s a scraping sound. I have no idea where it is coming from. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

1. When car is stationary, not running.
2. Engine is running.
3. From somewhere inside I think... not sure
Just started today.

then it's easy to detect.
ask somebody to go to one of the wheels and see/listen while you steer them.
pay attention to the tire touching the wheel arc trip from the inside.
increase the car level to maximum (airmatic level) and try again if the sound still appears.

Hi,
I notice you have special wheels.
If these are bigger than the standard ones it is likely that the tyres are touching the wheel arch.
However this would occur when driving not stationary.
When did the problem start? When the wheels were changed.
If it occurs when stationary and is inside it could be from the steering wheel cowl/nacelle rubbing against the steering wheel or other components in the area.
Otherwise i go with Sleepwalker.

This is happened two weeks after I changed original wheels to AMG18. For some reason I have a feeling that what cause the problem. Actually I was investigating where that noise coming from and find out that most of it comes somewhere from right front wheel…. somewhere in that area. Use to be only when I turn to the left but now same problem in both directions. I think I should go to dealer and find out exactly what’s going on.
