2004 CLK500 coupe.
I'd like to replace the interior woodtrims with other material.
Do we just stick the new flat kit to the wood or must remove them first, then how?
Had anyone done this, please advice.

Thanks,
Van

Hello

I can't say re your model car as I have the previous one, however on the C class I had before also, the wood trim in the vehicle's door panels is screwed on from the other side of the doors which meant taking off the door panels (with careful airbag removal). The trim is glued to a metal backplate and this is fixed as mentioned to the panel. The goes some way as to justify the MEGA cost of a piece of wood veneer.
I don't know how the wood trim to the dash would be fixed although if it is like the usual Mercedes over engineering then it is probably welded!

Good luck....
