Hello, I am looking for some suggestions for routine service for my 560 SL. I am hoping to find an individual rather than a dealer. I was told a long time ago that some of the dealership service guys work on the side? Any suggestions. Thanks a lot for your help

I'm sure others will chime in with referrals from this Forum, and if you're in a hurry, you may want to check out this additional site that lists referrals from other owners by State. Good hunting, a trustworthy MB 'Indy' Tech is worth his weight in your gold-

When I lived in STL two years ago, I've had good luck with a shop on Manchester Road (8611) called Knight Automotive. It is located next door to American Locksmith across from the Symms store immediately east of Brentwood. Although the shop specializes in AC and electric work, Dave (one of the owners) is a cracker jack and a terrific guy. I've taken both my benzes there and they've done a terrific job every time. The price is right and "new problems" never developed after a visit to their shop. Call them up 314.962.4500 and see if they can help. "The customer with a white benz who moved to Dallas!"
