There is a service CD/DVD that is available from Mercedes, it covers 92 to 99 all 140 models including wiring, owners manual, intro to service manual ,and troubleshooting. It takes a while to get used to it, but basicly expects you to have some general knowledge. everything else except ALL-Data is useless. MB stopped printing manuals in 91, there are other manuals but not on post 92
The cd is available for less than $200

Second question? Does it expect you to have general knowledge on mechanics or navigating the program or both?

I think both, sometimes it just says remove something, giving a work code. MB got this out because they were required by law, I have always purchased the service set 123, 107, 126, they condensed, intro to service, owners manul, service bulletins, suggested parts, and their cryptic wiring diagrams for eight years into on e DVD. My hard bound intro for the 92 is replecated in PDF format, looks like it was scanned in. Nothing better, that I know of, have not had access to All-Data, or the subscription to Star Kind or something.

Thank you again PETE I just purchased the CD on Ebay I hope I can navigate it ok when I get it. I am about as slow as a snail at these kind of things. Im from old school, if it was in a book Ive never picked up before I could find what im looking for in about 10 minuts or less. Hell ive been on this forum for two weeks and I still dont really know what Im doing.

Make shure it is a good one , the MB version is copy protected, some people have tried boot-legging it. All things considered it is pretty good , not great.
