Rear Window in Soft Top

Mine has enough scratches that I want to do something about it, although it isn't terribly bad. I bought some scratch remover for it, but I haven't used it yet. Has anyone restored one?

I wish these had glass windows and defrosters instead of just plastic. Reminds me of the sixties. 

Also, is there any way to tint that plastic or otherwise darken it? I have aftermarket tinted side glass and clear rear plastic windows. Looks kinda corny. I pop up the windscreen most of the time just to even the shades more. The hardtop glass is also tinted, so no problem with that.
