Rear headrest removal

How Do I remove the rear Headrests from a 93 500E. The 23gal tank does not leave clearance for the headrests to release and come out. Do i have to loosen the tank a bit?

I dont know if the W124 is the same but this shows how to remove head rests on a W210 hope it helps and to seams to be simple enough.
