 My 500 sec 1983 takes forever to go into second gear,, If I wind it up, and let off the gas, and then accelerate again it will shift into the next gear ?????? what do you think ????? There is no slipping at all...

Benzola:  Sounds just like what my car ('89 560SEL) has been doing now for a while.  It's a tranny problem.  Think/save now for a new/rebuilt one before it blows up somewhere like mine did.  LOL
