PURCHASE OF A 190e 2.6

wife is looking for a car.....we had a 1973 280C from 1990-97. shes driving an 84 volvo now, its a good car but you know women. i stoped at the mercedes dealer today as he told me last week he was getting a 93 190E 2.6 in. its there, charcoal gray met, gray leather interior, 124,000 ac has been change to R-134a. i was sorta wishy washy with it untill i took it down the road...........wife is gona go drive it monday. iam totally impressed.....this thing hauls butt....and feels like the old 280C....but better! anyhow.....iam boring ya .....reason for post is  are these good mercedes? motor, tranny, electrical, known problems....i did all the work on the 280C and i do all the work on the volvo so iam familiar with computer, fuel injection ect.  oh dealer wants $5000 for it.........

You're better off getting a newer C-class or look into a 300E.

well no mercedes this time....same dealer got a 95 volvo 850GLT 126,000 easy miles. she got it for same price as the 93 190E would have been. so iam over on the www.brickboard.com  maybe nexttime she gets a car....it will be mercedes.
