over revv

i just picked up a 1997 c280. When im on the freeway on ramp and i'm accelerating, my engine revvs all the way up and dosent shift unless i let off the gas and back on. anyone know why this could be happening?

did you ever get an answer to your over rev problem?

I experienced this same thing this morning... Is you car fully warmed up? When is the last time you changed your fuel filter? and What kind of Gas do you run?
