Hey guys, I'm new to this site but a friend suggested I look for answers here. I have a 79 450 SL that in general is in very good shape. When I bought the car about 6 mos. ago the A/C worked fine and the prevous owner admitted the heater didn't work at all. I don't really need the heat in FL so that's no big deal. Here is the problem : for no apparent reason the fan switches stopped working except for off and defrost. Low fan and Hi fan suddenly don't do anything. No funny noises, no nothing. I checked the CB's just in case there was more than one operating the system, but they are all good. The A/C switch seems to work but I can't really tell because the defrost always puts out max cold air. As I mentioned the heater is totally inop so temp control is not an option. Before, the fan ran outside air or, A/C air when the A/C switch was turned on, now those two switches do nothing reguardless of the A/C switch position. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears. Thanks, sullas450sl.

I would check the fan switch. What most fan switches do, is coupling in and out different resistances to make different voltages to the fan. I don't know the 107, but these resistances should be either close to the switch or built together with the fan itself. Do anyone else have any suggestions?
