I have a 1998 SL500 and a 1997 S500. I enjoy doing all maintenance and repair work myself. 15 years ago I had a 1984 380SEL; the timing chain broke and I rebuilt the engine with a double timing chain. After 5 years, I sold the 380SEL and bought 2 Lexus cars. They never broke down, but I just didn't enjoy the way they drove and handled. Both of the mercedes I have are great cars, but I've only had them for a couple of months. Looking forward to some interesting times.
