Currently I have 16" SPLIT SPOKE CHROME WHEELS on my Mercedes S430, 2000. I was wondering what changes I should expect if I upgrade my wheel to 18" AMG OEM – part number A2204013702, 9J X 18EH2, ET 44. I have a guy who wants to sell those wheels with the 50% used Bridgestone Potenza. He wants $900.00 for them; I think it is a good deal.
Will I loose the gas mileage? Power? Any other changes?
Thanks.

Ride quality might get a little rougher but the Mercedes suspension should be able to handle it well and you might not notice anything significant as with anytime you usually increase wheel size. You shouldn't loose any power or get worse gas mileage. Since there is probably a bigger footprint with the 18s, you should be able to handle a little better. And if they are authentic AMG rims, then $900 wheel and tire isn't bad at all. You'll look like you're driving a S55.
