definitely a Brit thing. Boot is the trunk, bonnet is the hood.

Talking about the UK, my daughter was in barnes and noble the other night and picked up a british magazine. Mercedes enthusiast. This is a wonderful publication, everything you would ever want to know about the mark. Road Test are much for informative then some US, as they test the cars as everyday drivers and don't try to salon the cars to 1G's. Also, some interesting cars we don't get, such as the CSL 350, yea, a V6 CLS or a C Class 180. I found it interesting that quite a few Mercedes models AC is extra. the C Class 180 have all the electronics as standard but AC is optional. Also there used cars reviews are great. This month's car was the E Class Cabriolet, which in Europe was available with a 4 cylinder either 5 speed or auto. The write recommended the superior automatic transmission over the 5 speed, stating both the I6 and 4 was faster with automatics. The prices of cars are deceiving, as the 1 pound sterling in US dollars is around $2.00 plus. So a new 20K pound sterling C Class is closer to $40K US.
