hey - we have an 84 SD and the floorboards are getting wet. Not really sure where the problem is coming from, but a good bet is the seals on the windows. Whats the best way to fix the problem? Thanks!

My Guess would be the sunrof not the windows.

I just find it hard to believe that it would be the side windows leaking i would be more inclined to think its the windshield or rear window. Get in the car and have someone spray it with a hose.

The best bet would be to find where it comes from, like sunroof drains, AC core, or the air intake. The windshiel or doors would be evident.

I'd guess the sunfloor. It rained for days last month and I got flooded out in my 83SD. Water everywhere, maybe 2 quarts in the back floor pans due to the incline on my driveway. Little stream appears during regular rain.. drips from the roof to headlight switch and down to the "fine" carpets. My trunk fills as well, I suspect the back window seal, but I can't tell (and don't care).
I owned a 84 D and the same thing happened. I found out in the car wash where the water was coming in via the sunroof; blew the seals out and made it worse so beware. I don't use the car wash anymore!!
Legacy diesel owners are really driving engines on frames... It's a great engine, but the cars are falling apart. I bet Mercedes engineering wishes they never released the 5-cyl, but it gives them some cred in the car market.
