This is my first Mercedes so I hope everything goes smoothly with it. She''s a 2001 CL500 in excellent condition. A few minor repairs need to be done but overall she''s a gorgeous car. I hope I can get some info on parts or whatnot through this forum.
A little about me I guess. Im in the military... going through flight training in the Air Force. I used to be an aircraft mechanic (in the AF as well). Im not going to say Im ASE quality as far as auto mechanics go but I know more than the average bear.
Planned Upgrades/Mods/Repairs to CL500:
+ Last owner curbed the rims so Im getting new ones. Probably upgrade from a 18" to 20", maybe lower the sidewall height to keep ride height the same.
+ Both driver & passenger outboard plast molding on seats is missing. Needs replacement.
+ Upgrade Nav to GPS (if possible)
Im sure there will be more as I learn about Mercedes. I hope this site can help me out and when I get knowledgable I hope I can return the favor.
