I have a 2000 SLK . I need a wind deflector. There is a 2001 for sale in UK. Would this fit my car? Does anyone know if the interior is the same between the seats? I am in New Zealand so long way to get it if it wont fit. Thanks a lot.

Don't believe there is any difference to the distance between the rollover hoops at the facelift which was 2000m/y anyway.

Thanks so much. Can you tell me what the face lift difference was? I am wondering if there oculd be any doubt that mine is or not the face lift> Cheers.

Biggest distinguishing feature is the introduction of the Direction Indicators into the wing mirrors and the introduction of the V6 320 and Tiptronic automatic transmission.
Smaller details are changes to the bumpers, side skirts (no black paint + shape change), boot lock, seats, fascia finish.
Incidentally I don't find the windshield very good. It stops the wind but is annoying in the mirror especially with the hood up (most of the time here in the UK!).
I'm hoping to get a non standard plexiglass type at some point.

You mean the standard one that stretches between the roll hoops. I am not a fan of mine either. I was wondering about a plexxiglas one too, seen some on Ebay, but as they don't go around the hoops, I did wonder if the air gets in behind there or if they were as effective or better than standard.

anyone got a plastic one can tell us? Please.
