I have an ''88 300E ad I want to test the output of the igntion coil with a spark-gap tester. What should the voltage range be? I am assuming this will be the same voltage one should see at the spark-plugs which I''ll also be testing. It only goes to about 20kV and I think it should be about 40kV or more but I''m not sure.
