Hello everyone,

I just bought a 95 SL600 with 47K miles.  It is black on black with 18" AMG wheels and is in nearly flawless condition.  This car makes my heart pound.  Am I foolish?  Is it going to give me endless trouble, or am I actually going to be able to drive and enjoy it?

My other cars include:  a 1958 Mercedes 190SL with a 57 Corvette motor (283) complete with side pipes and everything (please don't scowl, I didn't build it,  I bought it that way.)  It does look pretty good though.  I also have a few Volvos, including a Bertone Coupe and an 1800E.

I know I have a lot to learn about the SL600.  Any source of information will be appreciated.  Is There a printed shop manual dedicated to this car?

Thanks everyone,

Kevin

I dont think you are Foolish. I dont have an SL but I just picked up a new E350 and it makes my heart pound just slipping in it. Drive it and enjoy it. If it needs fixin, fix it and drive it again.

No way may thats LOW miles for a 95 SL you will love it!!! Lugnut had a 95 SL however he passed away last year but if u need help with it someone will help u.

As far as a printed manual I say pay the money and get a Mercedes one it will be expensive but worth it!

Thanks for the support guys.

The first thing I need to do is put a new wiring harness in it cause the original one is all cracked.  I'll post my tech questions in another thread cause I know this one is only for greeting new members.

Thanks again,

Kevin
