help no dash lights

hi i have a a class 140 and have lost all the dash lights the garage have told me i need new clocks and someone else said the software needs updating? if i fit new clocks will that solve the problem?or will merc need to reset the computer?thanks

humm,,,,could have a bad cluster...curicut board fried...seen before..
