Help me choose a new car!

I have just sold my 1995 C36 AMG.  I hate to let it go, but well that's life.
 
I see that Mercedes is offering 3.9% interest on certified preowned cars.  What is a model that will give me similar performance as my C36 in the $25-35k range?  The C350 sounds intriguing.
