i need help with a abc problem on my 03 sl500. it is completly bottomed out and in the shop right now. i have had 5 5oo's in the past and always loved them. this car has been nothing but problems. its always in the shop. after owning this car i will never buy one again. they cant tell me what the problem is (at mercedes) they can only guess from one part at a time costing over $5000. they want to start with the pump than a valve and then possible the strut. what im asking is there anyway to get the car up so i can get rid of it.

I wonder if it's because ABC was new on the 03 sl, because on my 02/ CL500 have no trouble at all with the system, but anyway fix it up like new and trade it in for an 06 maybe the bugs are out by now. good luck

I've seen an S 500 that had exactly the same problem, i'll inform about that in the shop (I'm a regular, so their bound to help me) and ask what had to be replaced to fix the problem :)

it depends on the problem.
if car drops down on one side after overnight parking, then it's the valve.
lack of pressure...tandem pump.

My 03 SL 500 has been in Berberian automotive's repair shop in Stockton, CA for over 2 months because they can't figure out the problem behind the ABC visit workshop error. They did something to my car when they replaced the rear right strut which was leaking ABC fluid. Also replaced a valve block due to the front left corner sinking. Ever since the ABC visit workshop error code is on and my car won't balance. They have picked and pulled my car apart for over 2 months to no avail. A specialist came out last Wednesday and sent info to Germany. I am being told my car is a low priority for response because my car is out of warranty. It's already been over 2 months at the service deapartment. Aren't there laws to protect consumers when the manufacture's dealer can't fix their product?
