hi sleepwalker,
im new to the site, i posted a question last week and got no replys,
mabye you can help.
84 190e, hard start when cold, once started if i give any gas at all it stalls,
this condition exists for first 3 min or so, mornings i have to use
a cold start spray to get it going. i get 9v at cold start injector,
injecter dos not spray, should signal be 12v? i dont mind puting in a
switch on the dash to control injector if it takes a 12v signal,
if injector is blocked how can i clean it, i do have access to nitrogen o-2000 psi
if i were to energise injector and pressurize to maybe 100-150lbs
could this help to clear injector?

sorry, sometimes i miss to read some post and it's ok if you bump your post once in a while.
i'll check the specs for your engine tomorrow and try to find the answer.

here's some information about the cold start valve.
i advise to just go to the bottom of the problem and fix it. more easy, convenient and less hassles than modifying it.
you must make sure that the basic settings are okay such as idle speed switch, temp sensor/switch, valve plate, etc.

thanks,
problem was as simple as a broken ground
to cold start injector, when i tested originally
i clipped my test light to engine block and
got signal to injector but it did not open,
i assumed it must be bad injector,
when i got the diagram and looked at it
i realized i had not checked my ground.
so simple.
thanks again
