I have temporarily for an environmental science class. Went from driving 75-80mph on the highway to 55-60mph. But even if I happened to get better mpg I am still cool with 32mpg going mach 1 and enjoying it.
eventually I plan to run 50/50 SVO too

I still drive the same speeds. But I dont go out as much for stupid things such as bread and milk. If I have to go out I will get everything I need so I only have to make one trip.

Same here...I drive at the same speeds as before...if I'm in a rush I would drive quite fast and vice versa...
I'm terrible I have to admit, I don't think much about the environment as I see the governments using it as an excuse to tax more on motorists

ive actually been takin it easy, ive gotten a few speeding tickets, so im just a little more kick back for now until im able to afford them haha.
my gas mileage is okay i guess
i only wish i can run SVO on my car, one of my employees drives a 1987 volvo deisel and hes got the SVO kit on there, he steals oil from In n out burger place and it saves him pretty good money i guess

im gonna confess finally, i traded my 95 C220 for a 96 318 ... stick ... and i gotta say i like it, and it saves me 3 days worth of gas
( i measure my gas consumption by how many times i have to fill up during a two week period since i drive pretty much the same distance every week )

Test results
75-80mph: ~30-32 average mpg
Tire pressure kept at spec
constant 60mph ~35-36 average mpg
55-60mph ~36-37 average mpg
After everything was done during the test gas mileage improved 8.65% over the course of several weeks

i have to say, i do look at my speedo more an slow down while im in town, but i drive almost 500 miles every weekend back to my home town an on the long trips you can see a increase in mpg when you stay closer to speed limits, it still doesnt keep my foot out of it all the time though

Nothing at all. I actually hope prices get higher, its the only real way to reduce consumption.

"i love it, its a lot more fun to drive"
could you explain? Do you mean like less drivers on the road?

Hell yeah, I do. I drive slower on the highway and I coast down hills. I use to not care about gas consumption at all but now I'm all about it.

I've adopted the "enjoy it while we still have it" mindset... there's no way we are going to have exciting, powerful cars like this 20 years from now. Hopefully it will be a cycle and in 40 years fuel or some alternative will become cheap again, but you just never know.

What's it like running the car on regular? The good news is that oil prices started to come down yesterday by 2%. I don't think it will be consistant. But it has helped the economy. The Dow was up like 120 points

I haven''t needed to.
I own my own a auto performance shop so most the driving I do is to their home or office to meet with them so all I have to do is charge more and I can right off all my gas as a business expense.
