Hi all,
The front seat heater on my 97 S600 are not working and I was wondering if anybody has had any experience troubleshooting them. The light on the switch flashes when activated but it doesn't stay solid and no heat. Thanks

Hi,
Did both problems occur at the same time?
Subject to above, possibly loose / disconnected at connector between heat element and loom under seats.

As in previous reply, check the connections under the seat first. In is unlikely the switch went bad sent something happens when pressed. The control module for front seat heaters could also have gone bad, but also rare. If this happened on my car, I would move front seats to forward position and then check all the connections I could reach under the front seats. Return seats to normal position, see if there are any connections under front of seat that need checked. Then disconnect negative battery cable, wait a few minutes, then reconnect and reset radio code, etc. If it works, you got lucky. If it works for a while then acts up again, probably the control module (mine is in left rear seat tray area per alldata.com). If not working right, the heating elements must have issues and lastly the switch.
