Drivers head rest won''''t retract 1999 W210 E430

My drivers side head rest won''t go up or down. When I move the button on the door, I can hear a flasher can type of clicking sound down near the console area. Any clues? Cheers Schnezza

pat your head, while rubbing your tummy....

press UP button, while pulling headrest up.....or vice versa to see if that will jog it loose
