Hi all
I have recently acquired a 99 clk 200. The car is equipped with electric seats but both seat switches located on the doors are intermittent for forward motion of the seats only. Easy to move them rearwords but your thumb could get mighty tired before they eventually make contact to move forwards. Is this a switch replacement or can the swith contacts be cleaned. In addition how do you remove the switches? Is it necessary to remove the door panels. Are there detailed instructions required to remove the panels so as to prevent damage to them. I apologose in advance if this has all been dealt with before. I would greatly appreciate any advice.
Kind regards volcane

Had the same problem with mine I have the same car I took it to the shop and figures it happens to be a part that wasnt covered on my warranty. They told me $567.00 to fix it I ended up finding the whole switch on ebay for $35.00 a few days ago the right side is still on there. Anyways it comes out easy . All you have to do is push it in and it snaps in or pull it out for that matter . I used a pick on mine. It must be a common problem so they say. Good luck
