Hi everybody ,
I have a 2001 CLK 200 and from time to time I have the BAS/ESP & ENGINE CHECK warning light on. When it was checked at the local MB dealer there where no fault codes stored. Now when I start the engine , I have very rough idle speed and I can not accelerate at all.
I would appreciate if someone could help me out with this.
Thanks in advance.

What type of fuel are you using ?
You should never use anything below premium grade.

the Bas/ESP problem it's caused by the brake pedal switch. sometimes it's getting stuck. the switch it's behind the brake pedal-under the dash-, remove wire connector, has a tab, has to be pushed in and the whole switch has to be twisted and you can pull it out(watch orientation of the switch, to put back in the same way). the switch in USA at the dealer it's about $14. it's a couple minutes fix. if you push the switch in a couple of times sometimes it gets stuck and it won't pop out, that's the problem.
