How do you reset the climate control unit on a E320 (1996)? I mean a full reset to "factory settings". Tried to fix ec-light-stays-on problem and now AC blows hot air all the time...Is there a way to reset the temp system "wholesale" to factory settings? (I''ve searched the forum for this specific question, found instructions on how to check error codes, etc, but no answer to my specific question.) Thanks in advance!

A FULL RESET OF YOUR A/C IS NOT GOING TO FIX YOUR EC LIGHT STAYS ON PROBLEM.  THE EC LIGHT COMING ON TELLS YOU THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM AND THE A/C COMPRESSOR IS LOCKED OUT TO HELP AVOID FURTHER DAMAGE.

Thanks, I was actually able to reset the EC red light (the compressor ran fine) following instructions in a thread in this forum. The light came on because I was low on refrigerant. That problem is/was solved. Unfortunately, the issue is that while pushing the buttons I accidently, in addition, changed something else in the process. Now...if someone could tell me how to fully reset the unit...Thanks.
