Hi. I am new to this forum. I am in Sydney, Australia and after a child seat (newborn) for an SLK 230 (2000). They are no longer sold in Australia. Alternatively does anyone know how I can disable the passenger air bag and I can then use a child seat from just about any manufacturer. I am hoping there is an easy disable/enable procedure so when the child seat is not used the air bag can be re-enabled.
Looking forward to hearing from someone who has some ideas.

it can only be done by using HHT or Star Diagnosis.
you cannot find a child seat with transponder?
